How to enter the contest
1. Register for Terry Notary’s motion data
Complete the form to register for access to the recorded Xsens motion capture data performed by Terry Notary. We will send the data to the email address you provide as soon as it becomes available. This will be your starting point for the contest.
2. Follow Xsens for updates
Follow Xsens on our social media channels to stay updated on contest news, jury updates, submission reminders, inspiration, and winner announcements.

3. Create your animated CGI scene
Once you receive Terry Notary’s motion data, use his performance as the foundation for your own character, environment, story, and visual style. You can use the 3D package, animation tools, rendering workflow, or real-time pipeline of your choice.
4. Submit your final video
Submit your finished animated CGI scene before the deadline. Your final entry should be a moving CGI scene, not a still image, and will be reviewed by the contest jury.

Where can I download the Terry Notary motion data?
The contest starts on 7 September. Once the motion data is available, we will send it to the email address you provided during registration.
Where do I submit my final video?
The official contest submission form is not available yet. Once you have received the motion data and completed your animated CGI scene, you will be able to submit your final video through the official contest submission form.
The submission form will be added to this page after the contest starts on September 7. You can also share your work on YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, or X using #XsensAnimationContest2026, but your entry is only official once it has been submitted through the contest form.
Can I submit or share my entry on YouTube or social media?
Yes. Once you have received the motion data and completed your final video, you can upload or share your work on YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, or X. When sharing your entry, use #XsensAnimationContest2026 so Xsens and the community can follow your work.
Your official contest submission must still be completed through the contest submission form once it becomes available. A social media post alone does not count as a final submission.

Each participant is responsible for creating their own animated CGI scene around the provided motion data. This includes the character, environment, story, visual style, animation choices, rendering, editing, and final creative direction of the submitted video.
