Marvel’s Black Panther pounces on to the big screen with Xsens

The latest critically acclaimed addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, opening in the theatres internationally today, took full advantage of Xsens MVN Animate’s cutting edge technology in both pre-viz and post-viz processes.

We’re absolutely thrilled Xsens was selected as the motion capture technology of choice for the production of Black Panther, aiding the preparatory processes that gave life to the film’s stunning final set pieces.

Black Panther follows the story of T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) who, following his father’s death in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, returns to his home country of Wakanda to assume duties as King. However, his position as sovereign and protector of this isolated yet technologically advanced nation is soon challenged by an formidable old foe.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, the visionary behind the Oscar-nominated Creed, Black Panther boasts an awesome cast including Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, with Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker and Andy Serkis.
