Our Sports Conference series, 'Combining Sports Kinetics and Kinematics', aims to give you valuable insight into the different tools that can be used and combined for performing analysis and research in sporting environments.
This includes a detailed look at the latest innovations for measuring human motion in sports, such as EMG (electromyography) for muscle activation, force plates or software applications for calculating kinetics, and inertial systems to determine the kinematics of movement.
This conference features speakers from Delsys, Myontec, AnyBody Technology, Predimo and TOP Biomechanics, who will share insights about the technology and applications in motion capture.
We hope that by showing the innovative combination of analysis tools, researchers and sports scientists will learn of new ways to investigate an athlete's performance capabilities.

Jordi Koggel is an Account Executive for Health & Sports for the Europe region. He will welcome you and explain more about what to expect in our first Sports Conference.
Markus will explain more about the new brand, Movella. The new brand was introduced in 2021 and encapsulates the value and technologies from mCube, Xsens, and Kinduct.
Wireless technologies now allow for functional assessment in and outside of the lab. Delsys will demonstrate how EMG, alongside Xsens sensor fusion technology, can be used in applied settings for sports performance and rehabilitation.
Inertial sensors have many applications in human motion analysis. In his presentation, Erik will give examples of how and when inertial sensors are used specifically in football research and practice. The applications range from training load quantification to testing in injury rehabilitation.
Myontec produces wearable technology to assess neuromuscular load, heart rate, and body movements in various sports and ergonomics. Also, physiotherapists are using the same methods in rehabilitation processes and even in injury prevention. Our future goals include more sophisticated integration of IMU data with EMG and enlargement of existing database and utilization with Artificial Intelligence (AI) analysis.
Combining the readily accessible sensor systems from Xsens and the advanced musculoskeletal models from the AnyBody Modeling System, we can record runners in-location, and show how would that runner look like when we alter certain parameters of the running style.

We compare predicted joint forces based on the ComputerMyoGraphy with an instrumented knee prosthesis. The VPP concept states that the ground-reaction-force intercept is a point. We used the VPP concept and the ComputerMyoGraphy to predict the best ground-reaction-force in a decent time.
By capturing field-of-play athlete kinematics, we can help coaches build a customized training plan for enhancing their athlete’s performance and mitigating their injury risk. Here, we will exhibit both a long-term and short-term case study.

In this session, Markus Skagbrant and Carmen van den Hoven will share sports case studies showing applications and insights using Xsens' motion capture system and how the brand new MVN Reporting solution can power next-level sports analysis.
Kinetic Analysis aims to improve people's quality of life with human motion data. They facilitate data to drive decision-making for groups and individuals based on a valid objective starting point. Their SportsLapp solution is built and developed for professionals by professionals in sports performance and health care.
