Sales Director – Inertial Sensor Modules – Americas

 

Location
Los Angeles, Culver City, US

As a Sales Director you are responsible for the international sales of Xsens’ motion trackers for the Inertial Sensor Modules market in North America. In your day-to-day work you will encounter highly interesting applications in the B2B market, in emerging markets like unmanned vehicles, agriculture, drones and platform stabilization. Your customers will typically be small to midsize companies, universities and large industries.

You will be part of our global Inertial Sensor Modules sales and support team. On a daily basis, you will work closely together with a Field Application Engineer for the Industrial market. Next to that you will be interacting with other business developers and Field Application engineers who serve different geographical markets.
Management, R&D, Marketing and operations are located in our headquarters in The Netherlands. This will require you to be flexible in planning internal meetings, to be self-starting, and work independently in taking up the full responsibility to make your focus markets a success.

 

The main responsibilities include

  • Write sales quotes (we use SalesForce.com), negotiate sales offers, contracts and close clear agreements
  • Develop and execute your sales plans
  • Work with Xsens’ strategic accounts
  • Follow up on leads generated by Xsens’ online and offline marketing efforts
  • Maintain an up-to-date sales funnel
  • Advise potential customers by phone, email, online meetings and demo’s, face-to-face meetings
  • Prepare and attend trade-shows
  • Develop marketing material for your target market together with the marketing manager
  • Develop or reach out to (new) market niches
  • Manage the US team for daily operations

 

Profile

  • MSc degree in Science or Engineering (preferred: Engineering)
  • >7 years of sales experience in the B2B/Industrial market
  • Result oriented, highly motivated team player who is able to work independently
  • Self-starting, independent, takes initiative
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally frequently
  • Contagious commercial drive
  • Passionate about Xsens’ technologies and products
  • Willing to relocate or living in the Great Los Angeles area
