FIFA 22 HyperMotion Motion Capture

As fans across the world enjoyed the build-up to the grand finale of the European Football Championship on 11 July 2021, EA announced the release of FIFA 22 with a brand-new trailer that aired just before the game. The new trailer shows EA's advanced Match Capture powered by HyperMotion – a new generation of gaming. Utilizing the true power of this next-generation technology, the gameplay will now elevate every match played in FIFA 22 for gamers around the world.

Advanced 11v11 Match Capture

For the creators of FIFA 22, 'Advanced 11v11 Match Capture' introduced a new way to simultaneously capture every movement of a whole soccer match with 22 players across the field. More information about Match Capture can be found onn EA Sports' website:

"Xsens suits enable motion capture from 22 professional footballers playing at high-intensity for the first time. The resulting unprecedented volume of high-quality real-human movement data powers how both individuals and teams move across FIFA 22."

Realistic and Authentic Movements

The creators of FIFA 22 wanted to capture the authentic movements of soccer players. So they captured the intense dynamics right in the field, where the action takes place. This resulted in new realistic and authentic movements that will power FIFA 22 with a whole new experience.

EA said:

"Xsens suits record every touch, tackle, sprint, and duel from all 22 players playing at high intensity for the first time ever, capturing data that powers over 4000 new animations in FIFA 22 to raise the footballing intensity, responsiveness, and physicality of every player in the game."
