The new anodized aluminum housing of the MTi series protects the internal components against damage. The new housing is tested to meet IP 67, so it can withstand temporary immersion at a depth of 1m.

Development kit

MTi Development KitMT Development Kit

First-time users are advised to start with the MT Development Kit. The Development Kit contains an MTi-10 IMU, MTi-20 VRU or MTi-30 AHRS, a USB cable, a suitcase and the MT Software Suite on a USB flash drive.

The MT Software Suite gives easy access to Xsens’ products, allowing users to configure and easily integrate the MTi 10-series Motion Trackers in their own applications. The suite contains a specially developed and easy-to-use graphical user interface, as well as drivers for various operating systems and many other useful tools, example source code and documentation.

Xsens MT Software SuiteMT Software Suite

The MT Software Suite gives easy access to Xsens’ products, allowing users to configure and easily integrate the MTw Wireless Motion Trackers in their own applications. The suite contains a specially developed and easy-to-use graphical user interface, as well as drivers for various operating systems and many other useful tools, example source code and documentation.

Although it is easy to set up the MTi via the low-level XBus protocol, communication is made easy with the Xsens Device API (XDA) which is completely in C-code. The MT SDK includes the following development tools:

  • C++ wrapper
  • Examples for C, C++ and Matlab.
  • Supported operating systems: Windows and Linux.
  • DLL for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems.
  • Extensive documentation on the MTw, the XBus protocol and the SDK (PDF and HTML)
