Xsens MTw synchronisation with Vicon

Did you know that using the Awinda station (and some soldering skills) it is possible to synchronise the MTw system with optical systems, including Vicon. We adjusted a standard SVGA to 5x BNC cable, removed the SVGA and replaced it with a 15-pin SUB-D. Using Vicon MX User Manual, pin definitions were put in place.

Using a few simple steps in the Synchronisation tool of MT Manager, and Vicon Nexus software, we were able to start and stop recording of both systems at a button click.
