Xsens Technologies included in the Marine Technology Reporter 100 (MTR 100)

Xsens Technologies has been included in the Marine Technology Reporter 100 (MTR 100), a list with profiles of the 100 leading companies serving the global subsea market.

The MTR 100 is a list with a constantly growing significance in the industry and shows profiles of large and small companies, based all over the world. As the only MEMS Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) manufacturer in the list, Xsens is the natural choice for use in all kinds of control and stabilization applications, such as underwater vehicles and acoustic imaging. Several tens of other companies in the MTR 100 are Xsens’ customers already.

The MTi is a minuature Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) and contains gyroscopes, accelerometers and magnetometers in 3D, and is a Internal Measurement Unit (IMU) as wel. It is an excellent measurement unit for stabalization and control of cameras, robots, (unmanned) vehicles and other (un)manned equipment.

The MTi-G is an AHRS, based on the same MEMS-sensors as in the MTi, but with the addition of a GPS/GALILEO receiver and a barometer. With these two extra data sources, it is possible to compensate for lateral accelerations. Furthermore, the inertial sensors augment the position and velocity measurement. The MTi-G is the first commercially available MEMS/GPS AHRS on the market. The footprint and interface of the MTi and MTi-G make that they can be installed in nearly every application.
