On November 28, 2012 YouTube (owned by Google) had a grand opening gala for their new Los Angeles “You Tube Space LA” facility.
At the opening event, there were over 500 guests from the entertainment and digital media industries in attendance and Xsens Inc. was on hand as a technology partner showing off the same 3D inertial motion capture technology acquired by YouTube for its state of the art motion capture studio. The Xsens MVN demonstrations were one of the highlights of the evening featuring live mocap sessions with longtime creative collaborators The Third Floor. At one point in the evening comedian Mark Womack of Barely Political donned an Xsens MVN mocap suit and entertained the crowd with live antics illustrating the ease of use and unique features that make the Xsens MVN technology a great compliment to the new YouTube facility.
