Is MVN Studio compatible with Windows Vista or Windows 7?

Xsens (strongly) recommends installing MVN Studio 2.6.8 and earlier on Windows XP. Windows Vista is officially supported but may cause problems related to the rather strict security policies in Windows Vista. Please refer to the FAQ item 'Installation of MVN Studio'.

Please appreciate that MVN Studio 2.6.8 or earlier have not been developed for Windows 7. The next release will support Windows 7.

Feel free to install MVN Studio on Windows 7. Other MVN users have successfully installed MVN Studio 2.6.8 on Windows 7 OS and are reporting full functionality. Do contact us through the support contact form (http://www.xsens.com/en/contact-form) if you encounter problems with the installation or operation on Windows 7 but keep in mind that support we can provide may be limited.

Xsens also (strongly) recommends using an "always on" power scheme when using Windows Vista or Windows 7. Both operating systems implement powersaving features that may affect the performance of the viewports in MVN Studio as well as operation of the WR-As, which are powered by the USB ports. Some of these power saving features may be active in the default power scheme.
