Answer
Run the MT Manager and navigate to the menu . Select the 'Logging' tab and activate 'Always Log GPS Status Info' and 'Always Log GPS UTC Time'. Open the MT Settings dialog, click the 'Revert' button and confirm. Rescan for motion trackers and activate the 'Raw Data' output option in the 'Device List'.
For the recording, select a site with a clear view of the sky (and without external magnetic disturbances if you are using the aerospace scenario). Disconnect the MTi-G and make sure that the GPS antenna is connected to the MTi-G, then reconnect. Start recording and let the motion tracker (MT) rest still until you get a GPS fix. You can check for GPS fix in the status window and using the active satellite window. The first satellites should be detected within one minute (green bars) and within a few minutes, the system should lock on to a position (several bars turn blue). For stable results, 6 or more satellites should be detected before starting very dynamic movements to allow the GPS receiver to download necessary information from the satellites. Note that this information will be lost if the MTi-G loses power and the GPS initialization will restart.
If problems with GPS reception persist, contact support with a '*.mtb' file demonstrating the problem, screenshots of the satellite status and a summary of your observations.
