Answer
1. Make sure that the Xbus Master (XM) is set to wireless communication. The LED next to the power button should then light up in blue.
2. The Range of the wireless connection is limited and will be affected by large amounts of water or snow as well as humans between the Xbus Master and Wireless Receiver (WR-A).
3. If using multiple Xbus Masters (as with a MVN system), make sure the WR-As are separated by at least 50cm.
If those measures fail, disconnect all WR-As from the PCs or Laptops and power down all XMs. It is very important that ALL devices are powered down, not just the one that shows a problem. For the MVN system, locate the XM labelled #1 and the corresponding WR-A. Both LEDs should turn blue if they are paired. If this does not happen, switch WR-As until you find the paired couple.
1. Check if both XM and WR-A show blue lights (as described above).
2. Check if the devices are found in MVN Studio or MT Manager => if found, you're done.
3. In the Windows Device Manager, check if the WR-A is recognized as 'Xsens wireless receiver' under USB devices and as 'Xsens Virtual COM port' under 'ports COM & LPT'. If not, try connecting the WR-A to a different COM port and verify if the installation starts in Windows.
4. Check if found in MVN Studio or MT Manager => if found, you're done.
5. Reset the XM - switch off, then press and hold the power button until the unit switches off by itself.
6. Turn the unit on again and check if found in MVN Studio or MT Manager => if found, you're done.
If above instructions do not solve the problem, please write a short summary of your observations during above tests. Include screenshots if you receive any error messages during the procedure. Send the report of your observations and the screenshots to support@xsens.com. Our application engineers will then assess the problem.
